Methods and means for measuring complex permittivity and permeability of materials in the microwave range

This paper describes methods and tools for measuring the complex permittivity permeability of various materials in range 0.9 – 40 GHz. A list equipment necessary practical implementation experimental evaluation (ε, μ) materials, as well coefficients R reflection T transmission electromagnetic radiation through samples is proposed. In circuits, vector network analyzer PNA-X N5244 used. Six schemes are given connecting standard horn antennas to a analyzer.
